The Battle at Kruger
This story is a few years old, but I'm surprised whenever I talk about it and people have never heard of it. If you haven't already watched this on YouTube, you definitely should check it out. It's a epic battle at Kruger National Park in Africa involving Cape Buffalo, a price of lions, and a few crocodiles. And don't worry if you're sensitive about animal videos. This one has a happy ending, I promise.
After the amateur video was filmed in 2004 by two tourists on safari, it was subsequently uploaded to YouTube and the story took off from there, The media coverage surrounding the video literally exploded and the two filmmakers found themselves in great demand for interviews and other opportunities. National Geographic even sent the two back to Africa to make a documentary based on the video. Talk about being in the right place at the right time with your videocam.
